Document management firm M-Files has introduced three new applications tailored to specific industries: M-Files for Tax Advisory, M-Files for Quality, and M-Files for Contracts. This launch represents a significant advancement in the company’s initiative to provide targeted and outcome-oriented software solutions for professional services and regulated sectors.
The newly released products are built on M-Files’ AI-native, context-first framework, which utilizes an enterprise knowledge graph to interlink documents with relevant people, projects, processes, and compliance requirements. The company aims to transform static content into actionable, connected knowledge, rather than merely storing files in traditional folders.
Jay Bhatt, CEO of M-Files, commented, “This launch reflects how we continue to evolve our platform to better serve our customers. We’re scaling M-Files into a portfolio of industry-specific solutions designed to accelerate customer outcomes. With our new Industry Solutions, we’re delivering more targeted, high-impact value to customers.”
M-Files for Tax Advisory is specifically designed for tax professionals managing intricate engagements and regulatory documentation. The application provides structured management, standardized workflows, automated document controls, and comprehensive visibility across client files, aiming to mitigate risks, enhance efficiency during peak periods, and support audit preparedness.
M-Files for Quality is aimed at manufacturing and regulated businesses. This solution addresses quality documentation, audits, nonconformance tracking, corrective and preventive action workflows, and controlled change management, assisting organizations in upholding operational integrity and simplifying compliance requirements.
Completing the trio, M-Files for Contracts manages the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation through to approval, execution, and renewal. Central to this offering are automated workflows and consolidated visibility, with the objective of shortening cycle times and minimizing compliance risks.
A notable aspect of this productized approach, according to M-Files, is the flexibility it offers organizations; they can start with a single application and expand gradually without creating information silos. The company emphasizes four primary advantages: quicker deployment of applications, outcome-focused design based on practical use cases, enhanced productivity through shared knowledge, and scalable growth that does not require re-platforming.
Ville Somppi, SVP of industry solutions at M-Files, remarked, “Our customers are looking for a context-first document management system that turns content into actionable knowledge, accelerating productivity while reinforcing governance. These new applications mirror how tax teams, quality managers, and contract processes actually work. This productized approach establishes the foundation for a broader portfolio strategy that will continue to expand across professional services, manufacturing, and other document-intensive industries.”
The launch has already received positive feedback from existing clients. Heike Blodig, vice president of quality & compliance at TTI, Inc. in Europe, noted, “With M-Files, we’ve strengthened our digitization strategy and streamlined our central quality assurance processes—reducing processing time by 66% and virtually eliminating complaints and penalties during customs inspections because we can produce the right documents, correctly and on demand.”
Having over 6,000 customers in more than 100 countries, M-Files has expressed intentions to further expand its portfolio of industry solutions, with plans to target professional services, manufacturing, and other sectors characterized by complex documentation needs.
