WASHINGTON, December 5, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Shield AI, the defense technology company building autonomy for the world, announced that it is expanding its collaboration with Palantir Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: PLTR), a leading systems provider of AI, to develop and provide command and control of unmanned autonomous systems, including operations in environments where GPS and communications are denied. With Warp Speed, Palantir’s manufacturing operating system for American reindustrialization, Shield AI is doubling down on its commitment to providing scalable AI-powered solutions to protect military personnel and civilians.

By leveraging Shield AI’s advanced Hivemind software development kit, Along with Palantir’s suite of powerful software solutions, including enterprise resource planning, geospatial intelligence, and operational decision-making tools, the partnership combines the strengths of both companies to address the most critical defense challenges .

“Both Shield AI and Palantir have built technology products proven in the most demanding environments,” said Brandon Tsengpresident, co-founder and former Navy SEAL of Shield AI. “Our partnership aims to bring together the software dominance of Palantir and the autonomy expertise of Shield AI to deliver the best possible outcomes for customers. It’s exciting to expand on what we’ve been working on together in this next chapter of our partnership.

This announcement builds on the work that Shield AI and Palantir presented at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting and Expo in October, where the companies demonstrated Hivemind integration from Shield AI with Gaia from Palantir. This integration created a unified command and control system for autonomous systems. Hivemind’s proven autonomy capabilities, demonstrated on platforms like V-BATF-16, MQM-178 Firejet and Nova quadcopter now integrate seamlessly with Gaia’s geospatial intelligence tools, enabling real-time mission execution and precise targeting.

“America’s industrial base needs Warp Speed,” said Shyam Sankarchief technology officer and executive vice president of Palantir. “Shield AI stands out in its field, having achieved mission impact and produced results where others have struggled. This partnership and Shield AI’s deployment of our recently announced manufacturing operating system will enable faster and better delivery to customers and ultimately contribute to the defense of the West.”
