India develops its own AI tool

The IT Ministry said previously that the confidentiality problems linked to IA tools as Deepseek could be managed by hosting open-source models on Indian servers.

Ashwini Vahnaw, the Minister of the Union for railways, electronics and IT, said that India has the intention of creating its own model of responsible and safe AI in order to compete in the international. The Minister said that the Indian AI model will contribute to the future development of the country as a more reliable technological leader in ethical AI solutions, Ians reported.

The global examination of Chinese AI software Deepseek has increased. Authorities in the Netherlands began to examine the application confidentiality practices and how they manage user data. Some other nations have imposed restrictions similar to the Chinese AI software.

Deepseek in meticulous examination

In addition to solving confidentiality problems, the new Chinese artificial intelligence platform Deepseek will be hosted on Indian servers. Because Deepseek AI models have been developed by a Chinese IA company, user safety has become a concern since its launch. In the middle of the reports according to which Microsoft and Openai study if Deepseek plagiated their APIs, Deepseek is promoted as an alternative to the Openai Chatppt.

Speaking earlier Wednesday at an event in the national capital, the CEO and co-founder of Openai, Sam Altman, said that India was the second largest world market in the company and a crucial market for AI.

“India is a very important market for AI. It is our second largest market. The models are still not cheap, but they are doable. India should be a leader there of course.” , noted Altman.
