Exciting Boost for Atlanta Fintech Startups with New Accelerator Program
Atlanta is set to experience a surge in fintech innovation through the recently announced Pinnacle Atlanta Innovation Accelerator. This groundbreaking initiative aims to empower local fintech startups with crucial funding and resources.
What is the Pinnacle Atlanta Innovation Accelerator?
The Pinnacle Atlanta Innovation Accelerator is a transformative 12-week program that allocates a total of $500,000 to five selected fintech companies, with each startup receiving $100,000. In addition to financial support, the accelerator offers invaluable mentoring and coaching opportunities tailored for each founder, fostering an environment of growth and innovation.
Spotlight on Inaugural Cohort
The first cohort of the program has been chosen from over 80 applicants and features finance-centric businesses founded by “underfunded founders” within the metro Atlanta area. These businesses exemplify the diverse landscape of financial technology aimed at addressing unique market needs.
Featured Companies in the Program
The inaugural group includes:
- Billseye: A mobile billing app catering to service professionals.
- Blended: A financial platform designed for divorced and single-parent families.
- Guala: A social point-of-sale and merchant wallet application for micro-sellers.
- LUXE AI: An AI-driven platform that maximizes credit card rewards.
- Pagarva: A multi-lingual point-of-sale platform targeting immigrant-owned businesses.
Program Culmination and Showcase
Hosted at The PEER Center, the accelerator program will culminate in January with a public pitch showcase. During this event, founders will present their innovative business ideas to a panel of investors and community leaders, further elevating their chances for success.
Visionary Leadership Behind the Initiative
Keena Pierre, the lead of the Pinnacle Atlanta Innovation Accelerator and a fervent advocate for democratizing access to capital, expressed her enthusiasm about the program’s launch. “Atlanta is Fintech! With over 70% of U.S. payment transactions processed here, we are Transaction Alley. We’re establishing a robust pipeline for fintech innovation that extends beyond Atlanta,” she stated.
A Strong Partnership for Future Growth
This accelerator initiative comes from a collaboration between generator8tor, a company renowned for managing accelerator programs, and Pinnacle Financial Partners, an Atlanta-based bank holding company for Pinnacle Bank. According to Pinnacle, this program serves as a vital investment in the future of financial services, emphasizing local innovation and community empowerment.
“Pinnacle is proud to support this program to fuel local innovation and energize the communities we serve,” remarked Susan Godbee, a financial advisor at Pinnacle Financial Partners. As the fintech landscape continues to evolve, initiatives like the Pinnacle Atlanta Innovation Accelerator pave the way for successful entrepreneurial journeys.
