OCS New Zealand Partners with Fujifilm Business Innovation to Revolutionize Financial Operations

Fujifilm Business Innovation NZ has made significant strides in transforming the financial operations of OCS New Zealand through the implementation of artificial intelligence and automation technologies. This pioneering initiative positions OCS as a leader in adopting modern financial management solutions globally.

Embracing Cloud-Based Automation with ESKER

In a groundbreaking move, OCS has become the first company worldwide to deploy the complete suite of ESKER’s eight cloud-based financial automation tools in one integrated deployment. This ambitious endeavor reflects OCS’s commitment to improving efficiency and operational accuracy across its financial processes.

Initial Goals and Expanded Vision

At the end of 2023, OCS aimed to automate its account responsibility processes. However, within six months, the company broadened its vision to encompass the entire suite of services provided by ESKER, based in France. This shift illustrates OCS’s proactive approach to digital transformation and its understanding of the extensive benefits that automation can deliver.

Implementation Timeline and Progress

After a comprehensive three-month training period, the first module, aimed at accountability, was successfully deployed online in November 2024. Following this launch, OCS has since introduced additional modules, including contract management and supplier expenditure management, marking substantial progress towards full deployment of all eight modules by the end of 2025.

Driving Efficiency with Artificial Intelligence

Debby Wong, director of finance at A/NZ OCS, emphasized the ongoing commitment to smarter and more sustainable work practices. She stated, “AI helps us rationalize operations, support our employees, and deliver better outcomes for our customers.” This innovative approach underlines the importance of technology in enhancing service quality in today’s business landscape.

A Partnership Built on Innovation

Wong also highlighted the crucial role of the partnership with Fujifilm Business Innovation in achieving these transformative results. By leveraging AI and advanced automation, OCS is not only improving its operational workflows but also ensuring that financial transactions are executed with greater precision and speed.

Transforming Financial Operations

By automating previously manual tasks, such as generating customer sales orders and supplier purchase orders, OCS is significantly enhancing its payment cycles and overall financial accuracy. Fujifilm Process Automation Chief Irene Direnko-Smith remarked, “OCS New Zealand’s bold decision to adopt the complete ESKER suite in one go is a remarkable example of large-scale digital transformation.” This statement underscores the impact of OCS’s initiative, inspiring other organizations to consider similar advancements in their financial operations.

In conclusion, OCS New Zealand’s collaboration with Fujifilm Business Innovation is setting a new standard in financial automation. As more companies look to enhance their operational efficiencies, the success of this partnership serves as a valuable blueprint for leveraging AI and automated tools.
