This builds upon an earlier $2 million in pre-seed funding from Topology Ventures and Betaworks, signaling strong investor confidence in Era’s vision.
Diverse Expertise Drives Innovation
Founded last year by CEO Liz Dorman, CTO Alex Ollman, and CPO Megan Gole, Era boasts a team with extensive experience in AI and design. Dorman previously worked on AI orchestration at Humane before transitioning to HP following its acquisition. Ollman contributed to agent frameworks at HP, while Gole was involved in high-profile initiatives at Sutter Hill Ventures, further enhancing the team’s capacity to innovate.

Casey Caruso, a managing partner at Topology Ventures and an Era investor, highlighted the startup’s orchestration platform as a key differentiator. Its ability to dynamically route tasks across various AI models while addressing real-world constraints, such as connectivity issues, positions Era uniquely in the AI hardware landscape.
