Fintech Startup Ravio Secures $12 Million in Series A Funding
Ravio aims to revolutionize salary transparency with real-time remuneration data.
Introduction to Ravio
Based in London, fintech company Ravio has successfully raised $12 million (£9 million) in a Series A funding round. Founded in 2022, Ravio specializes in providing real-time information on various compensated roles to help organizations determine competitive salary offers.
Partnerships that Matter
Ravio collaborates with well-known companies like Just Eat, Wise, Zoopla, and Octopus Energy. This enables them to supply accurate remuneration rates across different sectors, generating value for both employers and job seekers.
Addressing a Critical Gap in Remuneration
The founders of Ravio recognize a significant lack of innovation in how organizations have historically approached salary determination. “The market data did not follow the pace of today’s dynamic environment,” stated Merten Wulfert, co-founder and CEO of Ravio.
A Modern Approach to Salary Data
Wulfert elaborated, “We are modernizing a decades-old investigative methodology by connecting directly to our clients’ HR systems. This technology automates data collection and enables continuous market analysis.” This innovative approach is designed to keep businesses informed and competitive.
The Visionaries Behind Ravio
Merten Wulfert and Vaso Parisinou, co-founder and Chief Population Officer, conceptualized Ravio during their time at Deliveroo. Their hands-on experience managing diverse teams and data collection in various regions inspired the creation of a dedicated platform to streamline remuneration processes.
Investment and Future Prospects
The latest funding round was led by Spark Capital and included contributions from Blackbird and Cherry Ventures. Spark Capital had previously supported Ravio in its £8 million seed round in 2022, showcasing their confidence in the startup’s mission.
Transforming Remuneration Standards
“We are thrilled to double our investment in Ravio,” said Alex Finkelstein from Spark Capital. He added, “Securing fair remuneration is a challenge for companies of all sizes and industries. We believe Ravio is set to become the industry standard for real-time salary data.”
