The fintech segment, which saw massive growth during the pandemic and immediately after, had a pretty difficult 2024ending with the sudden stop – and then unexpected acquisition – of accounting startup Bench.
Although the rapid pace of funding has slow motionsome fintechs continue to grow and expand their teams. In an effort to better understand how many fintechs could fall into this category, I published a few months ago a call ask fintech companies that are hiring. After a little over an hour, I received over a dozen responses. In the span of a few days, I heard from over 60 companies. The number – and quality – of the responses was surprising even to me, who writes regularly in this space.
Returning to it a few months later, I discovered that although fintechs are still hiring, many of them don’t have as many vacancies as before. However, there are still a lot of vacancies and some companies are even recruiting for open positions. more roles than they were a few months ago.
TechCrunch is of course not a job site. This is not a list of all positions available in fintech. But if you’ve recently been laid off, are a recent graduate, or are simply looking for a change, this will be a good place to start. We will update this page regularly over time.
