Savein Secures ₹37 Crore in Funding to Broaden Health Care Offerings
The health care startup Savein has raised ₹37 crore in its latest financing round, attracting investments from established backers like 10x Founders, Oliver Jung, and Leblon Capital, along with new investor Stem AI.
This fresh capital injection elevates the company’s total funding to over ₹100 crore. Founder and CEO Jitin Bhasin described the funding as “opportunistic,” intended to accelerate the growth of Savein’s B2B wellness platform, Welup. “We did not necessarily need the money, but we took this funding as a strategic move to advance Welup,” Bhasin stated, highlighting the investors’ renewed confidence in the venture.
Path to Profitability and Growth Goals
Founded in 2022, Savein is on track to achieve profitability at the organizational level while targeting a remarkable 3X revenue growth during the financial year 2026. “We have been profitable in unit economics for over a year now,” Bhasin mentioned. “It would be a unique achievement among startups to grow 3X while also becoming profitable.”
Significant Revenue Increase
In an impressive milestone, Savein reported a 250% revenue jump for fiscal year 2025 and has successfully processed over 500,000 customer applications. The startup currently provides ₹500 crore annually in health care offerings with 0% EMI options and aims to cross ₹1,000 crore in the current year, showcasing its robust market position.
Innovative Health Care Solutions
As part of its WELP platform, Savein offers a health care credit line of up to ₹5 lakh for employees, enabling them to finance treatments such as dental work and mental health consultations through affordable EMIs. These services often fall outside the coverage of traditional health insurance.
Bhasin emphasized that existing health programs in companies frequently focus solely on hospitalization. “Employees today want preventive care. They seek daily health services that promote better health outcomes rather than merely preventing hospitalizations,” he noted.
Bridging the Health Care Gap
Welup strives to address this growing demand, offering services like annual health check-ups and access to clinical psychologists, while providing easy online financing. This positions it as a modern alternative to conventional insurance. Savein has observed a strong fit in market segments like fertility, dermatology, and Ayurveda—areas often overlooked by traditional insurance frameworks. “We established Savein to empower people to access private health care and manage payments through EMIs, much like purchasing a phone or refrigerator,” Bhasin added.
Focus on Domestic Market Before Global Expansion
While the company recognizes its potential for international growth, Bhasin reaffirmed that Savein remains focused on the Indian market for the present. “Once we truly capitalize on our domestic opportunities, we will consider expanding abroad,” he concluded.
