Huawei Unveils Revolutionary RAAS Framework at MWC Barcelona 2025

Huawei launches a RAAS framework powered by AI to accelerate the digital and intelligent transformation of financial institutions in the AIA.

Barcelona, Spain, March 4, 2025 / Prnewswire / – At the Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2025, Huawei introduced its innovative “Beyond Digital, Resilience Empowers Finance Infused with AI” value proposition. The newly launched RAAS framework, which stands for Reliability, Availability, Autonomy, and Security, leverages AI to provide financial institutions with a robust infrastructure aimed at facilitating comprehensive digital and intelligent transformation.

The Financial Industry’s Leap in AI

As the financial sector evolves, the transition from digital transformation to sophisticated AI-enabled infrastructure has become paramount. Jason Cao, CEO of Huawei Digital Finance BU, emphasized the relentless advancement of AI during his opening speech at the Huawei Finance Forum. He indicated that the global financial landscape is on the brink of a significant shift driven by AI innovations.

Empowering Finance Beyond Digital Technology

During the forum, Alvin Feng, Director of Global Marketing and Solutions Sales at Huawei Digital Finance BU, highlighted that the rapid progress in AI results in both immense opportunities and considerable challenges. These dynamics necessitate elevated infrastructure standards. With the ambitious goals of “4 Zeros” (Zero Downtime, Zero Wait, Zero Trust, and Zero Touch) by 2024, Huawei is leading the charge to enhance AI in financial systems.

Core Features of the RAAS Framework

The RAAS framework introduces four critical components that empower financial institutions:

  • Reliability: Ensures zero data loss with multi-cluster storage, real-time synchronization, and coordinated operations across storage, IT, and network domains.
  • Availability: Minimizes service interruptions by utilizing cell-based databases and microservice clusters, achieving a remarkable 99.999% system availability.
  • Autonomy: Reduces human error, with features that allow for one-minute defect identification and rapid rectification through AI-driven AIOPS systems.
  • Security: Integrates an AI-powered in-depth defense mechanism, enhancing the capability to swiftly identify and neutralize cyber-attacks, thereby securing data integrity.

Comprehensive Solutions for Resilient Infrastructure

Huawei offers a complete suite of product solutions and design services powered by AI, which includes IT, storage, networking, and cloud services. These offerings are tailored to assist financial institutions in creating a highly resilient infrastructure that meets the demands of the AI era.

Huawei’s Global Reach in Financial Services

To date, Huawei has established itself as a frontrunner in the financial technology space, serving 53 of the world’s top 100 banks and over 3,700 financial institutions across more than 80 countries and regions. This extensive experience underscores Huawei’s commitment to transforming finance through intelligent technology.
