Fintech startup RING (formerly Kissht) has elevated its head of data and analytics, Neha Shivran, to co-founder as well as chief data and growth officer.
Shivran took advantage of his publication on LinkedIn to make this announcement. “I’m happy to announce that I’m starting a new role as Co-Founder and Director of Data and Growth at Kiss ! » she said.
Shivran joined the company as Head of Data Science in 2019. Prior to that, she served as Director of Risk and Analytics at Singapore-based fintech company LenddoEFL. Furthermore, she also worked as an Associate Vice President at TransUnion CIBIL Limited.
Founded by Krishnan Vishwanathan and Ranvir Singh in 2015, RING allows consumers to obtain credit to make purchases at digital outlets (online and offline). Its plug and play gateway APIs are integrated into any merchant checkout page or retail POS to provide fast loans.
The company also leverages machine learning and artificial intelligence to assess customers’ creditworthiness, calculate their credit score and offer pre-approved loans.
This meeting comes months after RING raised debt financing of INR 100 Cr (approximately $12 million) from the venture financing platform Trifecta Capital, to expand its loan portfolio.
However, this is not the first time that Trifecta Capital has bet on RING.
In 2022, the VC firm co-led INR 100 Cr funding round with Northern Arc in the business. This round aimed to help RING expand the scale of its operations, improve its product offerings, including small business/store credit cards, and leverage AI and ML in its operations.
Later that year, the startup also raised 80 million dollars in a financing round led by Vertex Growth and Brunei Investment Agency to enter the buy now, pay later (BNPL) card segment. At that time, the startup was valued at $500 million.
Today, the company claims to have assets under management (AUM) of INR 3,000 and having served borrowers of 1 Cr in FY24.
