The Minister of the Economy, Conor Murphy, announced that the company Fintech based in Chicago, Spiderrock Technology Solutions (“Spiderrock”), made its first investment in the North by establishing a new engineering development team in Belfast.
Based in Chicago, Spiderrock offers high performance and cloud -based commercial systems and low -latency market data solutions to world customers, including desktop funds, banking trading offices and proprietary negotiation companies.
Minister Murphy said: “This investment of such a prestigious company testifies to the international stature of the Finet Flurisant sector in the North. Invest Ni and I met the Spiderrock management team in Chicago last year to discuss the advantages of investment in the North. I am delighted that the company has now decided to create 20 new positions offering average wages of £ 55,000, almost double the median in the private sector. The hybrid nature of roles means that they will be accessible to people throughout the region. »»
The Belfast office in Spiderrock is located at the Pearl Insurance building on Donegall Square East. Hybrid roles will ensure that opportunities are accessible to talents across Northern Ireland.
