Finnish fintech startup Ovoro has unveiled an AI-powered cryptocurrency trading platform, operating under the supervision of the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA).
Ovoro is considered Finland’s first fully automated crypto investing app, promising simplicity, security and transparency in an industry often overshadowed by volatility and scams.
Leveraging AI and a decade of market data
Ovoro’s app caters to crypto enthusiasts and beginners by automating trading processes while minimizing risks. Users can buy or sell cryptocurrencies directly through the app, eliminating the need for external wallets or exchange accounts. The app interface allows investors to track the value of their investments in real time, transfer funds from their bank accounts and withdraw their investments at any time.
At the heart of Ovoro’s platform is an advanced AI system trained on over a decade of cryptocurrency market valuation data. This technology allows the application to analyze market patterns, assess risks, diversify portfolios and adjust trading strategies dynamically. Operating 24/7, Ovoro’s AI identifies buying opportunities during potential growth in value and sells when a decline is detected.
During large market declines, such as a 10-20% overnight drop in the value of Bitcoin, Ovoro users suffered average losses of just 5%.
Otto Laurila, CEO and co-founder of Ovoro, said: “We created Ovoro to give everyone, regardless of experience or knowledge, easy access to the investment potential in the cryptocurrency market. Our AI, trained with 10 years of market data, has shown excellent investment results and managed to protect investments and even make profits during market volatility.
A risk-free investment simulator and curated collections
Ovoro offers a simulator that allows users to test the platform without risk. The simulator reflects real market trends, allowing users to experience the features of AI-powered automated trading with virtual money.
Ovoro organizes its offerings into eight curated asset collections, each tailored to investors’ specific interests. The Big Five collection includes major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Cardano (ADA), while the Green Asset Collection focuses on eco-friendly cryptocurrencies such as Algorand (ALGO) and Solana (SOL). The app charges a flat rate of 0.15% per transaction, with no setup fees or annual fees.
After a successful beta test with over 6,000 users, Ovoro is now available on iOS in Finland and on Android in the Nordic and Baltic countries. The company plans to further expand its reach, aiming for Europe-wide MiCA-compliant registration by summer 2025.
Ovoro has attracted funding from Icebreaker VC and individual angel investors and is currently in seed stage.
