Taurus, a Swiss fintech company specializing in enterprise-grade digital asset infrastructure for banks, has strengthened its partnership with global banking software company Temenos.
The collaboration fully integrates Taurus’ custody solution, Taurus-PROTECT, into the Temenos Core banking system.
This allows banks to manage a wide range of digital assets, including cryptocurrencies and tokenized assets, seamlessly within their existing infrastructure.
This partnership comes as global demand for digital assets accelerates, driven by clearer regulatory frameworks in major financial markets.
Major custodians and asset managers have entered the digital asset space, with many leveraging Taurus’ technology, further institutionalizing the sector.
By integrating Taurus-PROTECT into Temenos Core, the integration automates key processes such as wallet creation, deposits and transfers.
It eliminates the need for complex integrations, thereby reducing manual work and operational risks while ensuring real-time booking and reconciliation of digital asset transactions with traditional assets.
This integration allows banks to launch digital asset services in “days or weeks,” significantly reducing time to market.
Alexandre Duret, senior product director at Temenossaid,
“This deep integration with Taurus provides banks with the infrastructure to quickly and efficiently launch digital asset services.
By providing a fully integrated system, we enable our clients to offer digital assets alongside their traditional services, reducing complexity and lowering barriers to entry.
Jürgen Hofbauer, Head of Global Strategic Partnerships at Taurus, added:
“This level of integration is a game changer for financial institutions. It allows banks to manage digital assets like any other asset, reducing complexity while opening new avenues for growth.
We look forward to launching many more features with Temenos for our joint customers.
