The Global Finance and Technology Network (GFTN) today announced its Board of Directors and International Advisory Council.
Established by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to promote innovation in finance, GFTN has brought together a team of eminent individuals from the public and private sectors from around the world.
GFTN will operate through four strategic activities: GFTN Forums, a global conference platform focused on finance and technology; GFTN Advisory, which provides practitioner-led advisory services and research on innovation policy; GFTN Platforms, a services platform for small businesses and FinTech companies; and GFTN Capital, an investment fund targeting technology startups with potential for growth and social impact.
Ravi Menon, Singapore’s ambassador for climate action and former chief executive of MAS, will chair the board.

He is joined by vice-chairmen Leong Sing Chiong, deputy managing director of MAS, and Neil Parekh, nominated MP and non-executive chairman of Tikehau Capital.
To support the Council, an International Advisory Board includes global figures from the public and private sectors committed to driving innovation.
GFTN replaces and relies on Elevandi, which organized and globalized the Singapore Fintech Festival (SFF).
Sopnendu Mohanty, the current Chief Fintech Officer of MAS, will assume the role of CEO of the group on February 1, 2025.
Meanwhile, Kenneth Gay, MAS’s executive director for Enterprise Knowledge, will take over as Chief Fintech Officer.
