THE Singapore Fintech Festival (SFF) 2024 will host the first INSPire Forum, an event designed to strengthen the trade and economic partnership between India and Singapore.
Organized by IIM Alumni Singapore in partnership with Élevandithe not-for-profit arm of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), the forum will be the first “event within an event” of its kind.
The platform aims to foster dialogue, collaboration and partnerships between leaders, entrepreneurs and policy makers from the two countries.
The INSPire Forum will cover key themes such as the transition to renewable energy, open digital commerce, workforce skills at scale and India’s economic growth pathways towards a 7,000 economy. billion US dollars.
The forum will bring together 25 speakers, including distinguished IIM alumni and thought leaders from India and Singapore, who will provide insight into these global priorities.
IIM Alumni Singapore, which has over 3,000 professionals and is the largest IIM alumni network outside India, is playing a pivotal role in launching this initiative.
The network’s efforts are supported by an alumni advisory board that includes luminaries such as KV Kamath, chairman of Jio Financial Services, and Madhabi Puri Buch, chairman of SEBI.
These leaders helped organize the agenda and content of the event, ensuring that it addressed topics relevant to both countries.
The forum will include sessions such as “Journey to the South”, focusing on the challenges and opportunities of the energy transition, and “A playbook for open digital cross-border trade”, which explores strategies to facilitate cross-border energy trade. India building on lessons from ASEAN.
Other sessions will discuss investment opportunities in India and workforce skilling strategies in the context of AI and technological advancements.
The SFF, recognized as one of the world’s largest fintech gatherings, has attracted more than 66,000 attendees from 150 countries in 2023, with speakers including Bill Gates, Satya Nadella and Ajay Banga.
This year, the focus will be on the role of AI and quantum computing in transforming the global digital economy and financial services.
