PALANTOUT Technologies (Nasdaq: PLT) was the most efficient member of S&P 500 (Snpindex: ^ GSPC) in 2024, and the company brought this momentum in 2025. Earlier this week, Palantir announced exceptional financial results in the fourth quarter motivated by strong demand for its artificial intelligence platform.

The stock increased by more than 20% on news, pushing the market value of palantant to $ 230 billion. But Dan Ives at Wedbush Securities thinks that this number is much higher. He recently said that the Schwab Palantir network could be a business of a dollar billion in two or three years. This prediction involves 335% of the increase in its current market capitalization.

Here is what investors should know about Palantir.

Palantant specializes in data analysis. Its main software, Foundry and Gotham, allow customers to integrate complex information and develop automatic learning (ML) Models. Its main source of differentiation is the software built around an ontology, a framework that maps digital data with real objects and defines the relationship between them.

Users can question ontology data with surface analysis applications of information that improves decision -making. For example, a bank using the foundry to manage account information in different branches could question its ontology with ML models formed to identify fraudulent transactions and other financial crimes.

In 2023, Palantir made its AIP debut, an artificial intelligence platform (AI) which added the management of large languages models to the foundry and Gotham, allowing users to start platforms in conversation. For example, the bank of my previous example could encourage a simple text foundry to automatically degenerate certain problems and take the appropriate measures, such as the freezing of the accounts suspected of money laundering.

International Data Corporation (IDC) recently recognized Palantant as the market leader in decision -making intelligence software. And Forrester Research Recently classified the company as a leader in technology in AI / ML platforms, awarding AIP scores of best similar products Alphabet,, AmazonAnd Microsoft. “Palantir quietly becomes one of the greatest players in this market,” wrote analyst Mike Gualtieri.

For the future, IDC estimates that sales of platforms will increase at 40% per year to reach $ 153 billion by 2028. Palantir is currently ranking second behind Microsoft in income, but the company grows like Forest fires. Dan Ives recently told Yahoo Finance that no other company had a product comparable to AIP.

Palantant reported an excellent Financial results for the fourth quarterBeating estimates on the upper and lower lines. Its number of customers jumped from 43% to 711, while the average existing customer spent 20% more. In turn, sales increased by $ 36% to $ 828 million, the sixth consecutive acceleration and the profits that are not in accordance with PCAP jumped $ 75% to $ 0.14 per diluted share.

Palant’s benefits have now exceeded expectations in six consecutive quarters, and the real profits of the company during this period beaten the estimate of the consensus on average of 13%. In short, most Wall Street analysts have always underestimated the company with a large margin. But the tide seems to turn.

Mark Giarelli at Morningstar Recently, wrote: “The exceptional results of the fourth trimester of Palantir, rapid growth in the context of the arms race for artificial intelligence, and the strategic positioning in the Ai-Malus value chain, solidify our expectations of cases basic according to which this company can be the next software mastodon. “

Since the impressive performances of Palantir in the fourth quarter, many analysts have increased their profits and their estimates of fair value. In fact, the average target price on action is now $ 81 per share. It is almost double what it was a month ago, and almost triple what it was three months ago, according to LSEG data.

In addition, Wall Street now expects the profits to increase 37% in 2025, or several percentage points faster than what analysts were waiting for the company to publish results in the fourth quarter. Despite this, the current assessment of adjusted profits 240 times is always very expensive in comparison. Investors should be very careful about pursuing the stock at its current price.

Here is the essential: I think Dan Ives is right to become a palantant to become a business of a dollars Billion, but I doubt that it reaches this stage in the next two or three years. A decade seems more plausible. I think that better purchase opportunities will present in the future, but investors wishing to have actions can start with a very small position today, provided that they are comfortable to hold these actions by volatility.
